saw this on Facebook at the exact same time as i was writing an abstract for an oral presentation i’m giving at a research conference about the downfalls of the education system.

Not that if you come from a single-parent or homeless or hungry (etc.) home that you get sub-par grades or test scores, but something to think about.

It’s actually cold today, which means it’s time to go get a cup of hot chocolate. The City Bakery (pictured) just started its annual Hot Chocolate Month, with a new flavor each day (today’s is ginger). We’ve also rounded up seven other delicious cups of cocoa. Yum.

Here lies, old-fashioned as parentheses,
the authoress of verse. Eternal rest
